Online Blackjack Terminology
Online Blackjack (and offline Blackjack) has a few words that are used during the course of the game that are unique to it. We have listed these Blackjack terms below for your convenience:
Hit: Calling for a Hit means that you request another card from the dealer. You can only request a Hit once you have received your opening 2 cards in the hand and cannot request another if you go Bust (see below).
Stand: If you Stand you are telling the dealer that you do not want to receive any more cards (see Hit above).
Bust: If the value of the cards you receive totals more than 21 you have gone Bust and the dealer wins. The dealer will also go Bust if he/she receives a total over 21 and in that case the players win.
Bankroll: A Bankroll is the total amount of money you bring into the casino before placing a bet. Many players have individual Bankrolls for specific games. In this case your Bankroll would be for Blackjack only.
Betting limits: The Betting Limit at the Blackjack table is the maximum or the minimum amount you may bet at that table at a given time. At an Online Casino these Betting Limits seldom or never change for a specific table.
